West Ealing
We have committed to:
- Attend 16 career events at local schools and colleges (4 per year across the 4-year build period) and thereafter, 2 per year for a 5-year period focussed on JLP and Build to Rent (BtR) careers.
- Organise 12 site visits with local schools and colleges (3 per year over the 4-year build programme) to include and inspire young people about the development process.
- Deliver 3 “Introduction to Architecture” workshops for local primary schools with our architects Lifshutz Davidson Sandilands (LDS).
- Purchase musical instruments and organise a music enrichment programme with Drayton Manor High School facilitated by registered charity Restore the Music.
- Work with our chosen construction contractor to employ local people including, where possible, creating a number of apprenticeship roles.
- In collaboration with Ealing Council, commission a local artist to create a local arts trail.
- Contribute over the 4-year build period to deliver 40 Mental Health First Aider Courses (MHFA) for local people.
- Provide monthly social events through our Community Cafe initiative in the new cafe or residential amenity area. The applicant will work with Ealing Hub who support carers for the elderly and other local organisations seeking to tackle loneliness in adults.
- Fund care packs through The Care Pack UK for service users of Build on Belief and Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter. The applicant will donate for a minimum of 5 years.
